"Call me crazy, but I want to buy the Dallas Cowboys end zone and have the star right at the foot of my bed. That way when I score, I can spike the ball right on the star!" -Woody Paige, Around the Horn 10.9.08

Florida State's last minute run is officially underway. Tuesday afternoon from the ESPNZone in Buckhead, Georgia, Marcus Ball, a 6-foot, 205-pound linebacker, committed to the Seminoles. The all-state player member becomes the 23rd member of Florida State's 2006 recruiting class and the fourth linebacker.
"It was a hard decision and I had a lot of thinking to do," Ball said on ESPNews. "My family helped me a lot but I'm ready to get it over with. For the next four years I'll be attending Florida State."
After he made that initial statement in front of a national television audience, the nation's No. 3 rated outside linebacker donned a Seminole visor, heard applause from friends and family members and then discussed his reasons for selecting FSU.
"Basically, that' where I felt comfortable," Ball said. "There are lot of good players down there to break it down and made it easy. I just want to win a national championship."
Ball, the 3rd ranked prep player in Georgia, becomes the third Rivals100 member to commit to the Seminoles with this class. The 'Noles are very much involved with five other Rivals100 members that have yet to commit.
Ball racked up well over 100 tackles over the course of his senior season. However, it is unlikely he will qualify and will probably be placed at Hargrave Military Academy.
Im going to go out on a limb and say that Bobby always has a bunch of silent commits under his belt and unveils them on signing day so it makes FSU look better. Not a conspiracy theory, but the dude never lands recruits until signing day then he gets every single one.
Alcoa TE/DE Brandon Warren was having doubts about FSU but Monday night he made it official. He will be going to FSU.
It is a total meltdown on Volquest over Warren. I would have loved to see him go to UT. But! He grew up a FSU fan and that is where he wanted to go.
